Check-In / Check-Out Policies

Please review our check-in and check-out times and related policies:

• Check-In: 3:00 PM
• Check-Out: 11:00 AM

• Early Check-In/Late Check-Out Fee: $25
• Late Check-Out Hour: Late check-out (after 11:00 AM) may incur a fee of $25/per hour.

• Local Guests Policy:
  We do not accommodate local guests. Individuals with a 606XX zip code will not be permitted to stay at the hostel.

• Guest Policy:
  Only the individual listed on the reservation is permitted to stay.

Property and Cancellation Policies

• Cancellation Policy:
  Reservations must be canceled or modified by email at least 14 days before the arrival date to avoid a charge equal to the full reservation amount, including any applicable taxes. All cancellations and modification requests must be emailed to: support@stay424hostel.com.
  This cancellation policy does not apply to non-refundable bookings, which are charged in full at the time of booking. No changes to the number of beds or nights booked will be accepted within the cancellation window.

For third-party booking sites, stricter cancellation policies may apply, and the policy displayed at the time of booking will be enforced. If your booking was made through a third-party platform, please cancel or modify it directly on the platform to avoid confusion or additional fees.

• Dorm Room Policy:
  Only one person is permitted per dorm room bunk.
  Guests staying in the dorm must provide proof of residency at least 30 miles outside of Chicago city limits and present a valid ID. We reserve the right to request proof of onward travel.

• Payment Policy:
  We do not accept third-party payments. The credit or debit card used for the reservation must belong to one of the guests staying.

By using our services, you agree to follow these terms and any additional guidelines provided by STAY. Please read carefully.

Terms and Conditions for Your Stay:

1. Booking and Payment

• A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of full payment at the time of booking.
• Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, and approved third-party payment processors.

2. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM.
• Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 14 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the check-in date are non-refundable. 
• No-shows will be charged the full booking amount.

4. House Rules

• No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the property.
• Animals are not permitted.
• Parties and events are not allowed unless prior approval has been granted.
• Label your food. Items not properly labeled with name, room #, and date will be disposed of on a daily basis. Guests caught eating other peoples food will be terminated without a refund. 
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. 

5. Smoking Policy 
Smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors. Guests should not smoke in front of the property. The back outdoor space is the only place where smoking is allowed. Please note that the outdoor space is secured and only accessible by guests. 

6. Occupancy

• The property is to be occupied only by the number of guests as specified in the booking confirmation.
• Additional visitors are not allowed without prior consent and may incur additional charges.

7. Damages and Security Deposit

• Guests are responsible for any damages to the property or its contents during their stay.

8. Maintenance and Repairs

• The property manager should be informed immediately of any maintenance issues or necessary repairs.
• Guests shall not undertake any repairs or maintenance without prior approval.

9. Liability

• STAY is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the premises or its facilities.
• The owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.

10. Use of Property

• The property is to be used in a careful manner to prevent any damage or loss.
• Guests shall not use the property for any illegal activity.

11. Door Access

• The property manager reserves the right to enter the property at reasonable times for the purpose of inspection, repair, or maintenance.
• Guests should not share their code with anyone nor should they let anyone in or onto the premises. 

12. Termination

• Violation of any of these terms and conditions may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and eviction from the property without refund.

13. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Illinois. 

14. Video Surveillance
The exterior premises and common areas are under 24 hour video monitoring, surveillance, and recording. 

15. Conduct Policy 
Intoxication, illegal drug use, hostile/aggressive behavior, violence/threats of violence, or public nudity is prohibited. If found to violate this policy, your reservation will be terminated immediately without a refund.
